Three St. Thomas students have been awarded scholarships from the Luann Dummer Center for Women to attend the LOTT (Leaders of Today and Tomorrow) public policy seminar Jan. 18-20 in St. Paul.

The students are: seniors Nicole Anderson and Melissa Palank and sophomore Molly LaVigne.

Student attendees from many different colleges will learn from each other and from Minnesota women leaders how government and public policy is shaped, how current public policy affects women and how they can influence policy. The seminar includes a capitol tour, an introduction to Minnesota government, mentorship lunch and panel discussions with Supreme Court justices, media, state legislators, interest groups and other Minnesota women policy makers.
