The Rev. Emil Cook will discuss Mission Honduras at 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, in Room 108 (the “leather room”), O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center, St. Paul campus.
Cook began his missionary work in Honduras in 1970. Mission Honduras provides academic and spiritual education to poor Honduran children. Its goal is to teach the poor self-sufficiency to help themselves out of the cycle of poverty.
In his talk, Cook will discuss the people of Honduras and the work of the mission.
You also can learn more about the staff and faculty VISION (Volunteers In Service Internationally Or Nationally) trip to Mission Honduras planned for the end of May. Applications will be available at the talk.
Refreshments will be served and a brief video will be shown.
