The University of St. Thomas Music Department invites the public to these free concerts and recitals by student performers on the St. Paul campus in December:

  • African Music Ensemble concert: 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, in Brady Educational Center auditorium.
  • Piano Ensemble recital: 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, in Brady Educational Center auditorium.
  • Student recital with various instruments: 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, in Brady Educational Center auditorium.
  • Christmas Musicale: Noon Tuesday, Dec. 7, in the O’Shaughnessy Room of O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center. Student singers and instrumentalists perform works of the season. Refreshments will be served.
  • Guitar Ensemble recital: 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, in Brady Educational Center auditorium.
  • Jazz Singers and Small Jazz Ensemble concert: 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, in Brady Educational Center auditorium.
  • Piano recital by graduate student Debora McGee: 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, in Brady Educational Center auditorium.
  • UST Bands concert: 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, in Schoenecker Arena. Dr. Matthew George conducts the bands. On the program are three world premieres: “Bugs” by Roger Cichy, “Danzon for Wind Ensemble” by Arturo Marquez, and “Two Lullabies” by Andrew Boysen Jr., featuring Dr. Alan Bryan of the St. Thomas music faculty as baritone soloist. Also on the program is Daniel Bukvich’s “Voodoo.”
  • Instrumental Jazz Ensemble concert: 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, in Brady Educational Center auditorium.
  • Voice recital by St. Thomas senior Elisa Moraleda: 8:15 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, in the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas. Guest pianist is student Rachelle Kramer.
