Sailing in the Virgin Islands: Are you interested in learning how to sail over January Term? Joyce Pfaff, associate professor, Augsburg College, will be on campus to talk to students about the January Term Abroad 2000 course, Sailing in the Virgin Islands. She will be here from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5, at the International Education Center, 44 N. Cleveland Ave.
This course is designed for the beginning and intermediate sailor interested in the art and practice of sailboat cruising. Students will live abroad a 43- 46-foot fixed-keel sailboat with five or six other people and will serve as an active crew member.

Curtin University in Perth, Australia: Ian Fairnie will visit St. Thomas to discuss study abroad options at Curtin University in Perth, Australia. Interested students can attend an Info Session at noon Tuesday, Oct. 5, in Room 450, O’Shaughnessy Educational Center. Study at Curtin is well-suited to business and science majors (e.g., biology, pre-health professions). Business students also may complete their BUS 200 Community Service at Curtin.
Denmark International Study Program: Come to an Info Session — with pizza — at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, in 3M Auditorium, Owens Science Hall, to hear about the Denmark International Study Program in Copenhagen. A DIS representative will discuss programs in marine biology, international business, political science, art history, elementary education and environmental studies. All courses are taught in English.
