Study abroad: First Step info sessions begin today; study-abroad returnees invited for session on 'Marketing Your International Experience'

First Step information sessions begin this week in the International Education Center. Learn about study-abroad options for all majors in countries all over the world. You'll also learn about financial aid availability, St. Thomas policies, IEC resources and study-abroad applications.

Here's the September schedule for First Step sessions:

  • 12:15 p.m. Thursdays, Sept. 13, 20 and 27
  • 2:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24

All sessions are held in the International Education Center, 44 N. Cleveland Ave (across the street from O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center).

IEC staff will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the days below at various campus locations (and inside Campus Square if it's raining) during September to answer questions about January Term 2008 and other semester- and year-abroad opportunities available to UST students:

  • Today, Sept. 11, in Foley Plaza
  • Tuesday, Sept. 18, at the Activities Fair
  • Tuesday, Sept. 25, on the quad south of Murray-Herrick Campus Center
  • Thursday, Sept. 27, in Campus Square, lower level, Murray-Herrick Campus Center

'Marketing Your International Experience' is a session for study-abroad returnees from 11:45 to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25 (includes pizza lunch) and 3 to 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, in the Career Services Center, third floor, Murray-Herrick Campus Center.
