Students, faculty, staff invited to Asian Pacific Islander Community Forum

Students, faculty and staff are invited to attend this afternoon’s Asian Pacific Islander (API) Community Forum to discuss issues affecting the API community.

The forum, which will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday, May 4, in Room 160, Murray-Herrick Campus Center, will feature an open-dialogue format.

This open-dialogue will let staff, faculty, and students reflect and express their own thoughts and experiences regarding issues in the API community. In light of the recent Virginia Tech incident, the forum will discuss the API community’s perception of mental health. Other areas of discussion may include generational gaps, resources for the API community and ways to educate each other regarding these issues.

For more information contact Tasia Tigue, (651) 962-6195.

The Asian Pacific Islander (API) Community Forum is sponsored by Campus Life and Multicultural Student Services.
