American Marketing Association
The University of St. Thomas chapter of the American Marketing Association offers UST marketing majors opportunities related to their business interests. The club has been working throughout the summer to gear up for this year.

AMA gives its members the chance to interact with other students in their major field, to network with professionals in the business community and to gain a better understanding of marketing and related fields through a variety of speakers.

Meetings take place from noon to 1 p.m. every other Tuesday, beginning Sept. 20, in Room 126, John R. Roach Center for the Liberal Arts. Lunch is provided at each meeting. Members will hear from speakers such as from Target Corp., BrandCorps and the Minnesota Timberwolves. The group will hold service, fund-raising and social events on the Tuesdays opposite of meetings, to make scheduling as easy as possible. Members have the opportunity to attend the AMA National Conference, which was held last year in New Orleans.

Information regarding AMA membership, including the application, will be available at the first meeting Sept. 20. For more information or if you are unable to attend the first meeting, please send an e-mail to AMA.

Extreme Team Competition Cheerleading Club
The Extreme Team Competition Cheerleading Club invites all interested women students to come to a tryout-and-informational meeting. The team has 13 spots available.

Two dates are available for your convenience (candidates must choose only one meeting):

  • 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24
  • 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25

Tryouts will be held center front of the bleachers on the west side of Palmer Field at O’Shaughnessy Stadium.

For more information, contact the club’s coordinator, Kelly Crumpton, via e-mail or call her at (651) 442-6102.

Men's lacrosse
Interested in playing lacrosse for St. Thomas? Come to an informative meeting at noon Thursday, Sept. 22, in O'Shaughnessy Educational Center auditorium. Whether you have played for five years or have never played at all, come and find out what St. Thomas lacrosse is all about. You'll meet veteran players and coaches.

The Lacrosse Club offers an opportunity to make lifelong friends and travel around the Midwest playing the fastest growing sport in Minnesota. If you cannot make the meeting but are interested in playing, please send an e-mail to Andy Lee.
