The Student Alumni Council and Alumni Association wish to thank the many students who participated in the spring Community Cleanup on Sunday, April 13. For more than 20 years the service project has been offered by the Alumni Association allowing students to volunteer to rake leaves in the yards of elderly and handicapped neighbors throughout the Highland Park and Mac-Groveland neighborhoods.
“We cannot thank you enough for the excellent raking and cleanup ten St. Thomas students did for us on Sunday. They worked quickly and with a very pleasant attitude, and accomplished in an hour what would have taken us days to do,” said Taylor Avenue residents Christine and Frank. “This kind service is one that permits us to stay in our home even though we are not able to do all that we used to.”
