The Campus Ministry VISION (Volunteers In Service Internationally Or Nationally) office and the Human Resources Department will sponsor a staff VISION trip to Puerto Rico from April 24 to May 2, 2000.
VISION volunteers will work with a group of Dominican nuns who serve people in poverty in the highlands of Puerto Rico. The primary focus will be to help the nuns with their annual fund-raising event celebrating Puerto Rico’s indigenous roots. The trip will be partially funded through an Aquinas Foundation Grant. All interested staff must attend a mandatory informational session before applying for the trip. Two informational sessions will be held at the following times:
Thursday, Feb. 10, in Room 454, O’Shaughnessy Educational Center
- Noon to 1 p.m.
- 4:30-5:30 p.m.
The informational session will included detailed information about the trip, including host-site information, VISION trip requirements, pre-trip preparations, cost, and the application process. Those who attend an informational session and wish to apply for the trip will need to make formal application by Feb. 18. If you have any other questions, please call Colleen Striegel at (651) 962-6511.
