St. Thomas again has been nominated to participate in the Star Tribune’s "Top Workplaces" survey, and 500 randomly selected St. Thomas employees will receive emails next week asking them to complete a short questionnaire.
The Minneapolis-based newspaper, in conjunction with independent research firm Workplace Dynamics, conducts the annual survey to identify the top 100 employers in Minnesota and determine what makes them great places to work. The honorees will be announced in June.
Last June, the Star Tribune named St. Thomas a “Top Workplace” in the “large” category (more than 500 employees). The survey recognizes the most progressive companies based on employee opinions about company leadership, communication, career opportunities, workplace environment, managerial skills, pay and benefits.
St. Thomas Human Resources has randomly selected 500 St. Thomas employees and provided their St. Thomas email addresses to Workplace Dynamics. Individuals will receive an email from Workplace Dynamics with a link to the online survey of 25 workplace questions. Respondents also will have an opportunity to provide open-ended comments on what they like about their jobs and how St. Thomas could better assist them.
The survey will take five minutes to complete, and Workplace Dynamics will keep all survey responses confidential. St. Thomas will receive an unattributed compilation of the optional written comments. Two years ago, the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal named St. Thomas a “Best Place to Work.” About 565 employees participated in the anonymous survey.
