St. Thomas Abuzz This Week With National, Spanish-led Conference

The University of St. Thomas’ St. Paul campus will be abuzz this week with 150 national attendees of the 18th annual Instituto Fe y Vida Summer Program.

The conference opened yesterday with a Mass by Bishop Piché at the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas and will continue through July 22.

The Instituto Fe y Vida (Institute for Faith and Life) is a national, nonprofit Catholic leadership institute recognized as the authority in the field of Hispanic youth and young adult ministry in the United States, and the leading agent in bringing the Bible to young Latinos throughout the Americas. It works to equip Hispanic youth for leadership in church and society by advancing their human, social and faith development through a comprehensive approach grounded in the Catholic tradition.

All conference sessions will be delivered in Spanish and held on St. Thomas’ St. Paul campus.

This effort is sponsored by the University of St. Thomas, the Latino Leadership program of the Center for Catholic Studies, Campus Ministry, and the Office of Latino Ministries of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.
