If you’re looking for a way to enrich your St. Thomas experience, the brothers of Sigma Chi extend an invitation to meet some of the brothers of the Sigma Chi Iota Tau Chapter this week at a cookie giveaway and an informational session

Sigma Chi, built on the ideals of friendship, justice and learning, is one of the nation’s oldest and largest social fraternities.

“If you’re looking to get involved in something that’s more than the typical club at St. Thomas, Sigma Chi is the organization for you. Our fraternity best serves its purpose by developing, implementing and monitoring programs that foster leadership, build character and promote positive relationship skills, which, in turn, enable our members to become productive and caring participants in their families, colleges and communities,” commented Nick Snidarich ’12.

The cookie giveaway will be held from 11:40 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, on the second floor of the Anderson Student Center. The informational meeting will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at a site to be determined.

The list of notable Sigma Chi brothers includes Drew Brees, quarterback, New Orleans Saints; Mike Ditka, Chicago Bears tight end and coach; Grover Cleveland, U.S. president; Luke Donald, pro golfer; David Letterman, talk show host; Brad Pitt, actor; and John Wayne, actor.
