There are several opportunities to share your blessings this Christmas season:

  • The University Registrar’s Office invites you to bring donations for its ‘Toys for Tots’ collection. Bring new, unwrapped toys and gifts between 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, to the office, Room 106, Aquinas Hall. Join the staff for a treat when you’re there.

Gifts for infants and teens (through age 18) are especially needed this year.

Questions? Contact Patrick Beatty, (651) 962-6709.

  • The Luann Dummer Center for Women is collecting unwrapped books for children, teens and their parents. The books for children should show some diversity in the characters. The books for parents should be about parenting issues. These will be donated to the Bridge for Success program on the Minneapolis campus for a lending library.
  • The Women for Change student group is collecting new underwear and socks for Loaves and Fishes. Collection boxes are available in the Luann Dummer Center for Women, Room 103, O’Shaughnessy Educational Center, and in Murray-Herrick Campus Center.
  • The Luann Dummer Center for Women and the Center for Student Leadership and Activities also are sponsoring the mitten tree in Murray-Herrick Campus Center. The mitten tree is a collection of donated mittens, gloves, hats, scarves and socks for teens in need. Bring your donations through Dec. 14. Questions? Call the women’s center, (651) 962-6119.
