Campus Mail Services Thanks Second Harvest Heartland Food Drive Donors, Volunteers

Nina Ruud, Campus Mail Services manager, extends this thank you to the St. Thomas community:

Campus Mail Services' first annual monthlong food drive ended yesterday, Nov. 30, with food designated for the Second Harvest Heartland food shelf. We would like to thank the students, staff and three student clubs – Silver Wings, Arnold Air Society and Star – who helped make our food drive a success.

This was our first food drive, and we really didn’t know what to expect. We set our goal at 1,000 pounds of food but came up a bit short with 853 pounds of food. We also collected $83.50 in cash.

We choose Second Harvest because it matches each pound of food and dollar with a pound of chicken up to 30,0000 pounds.

Once again, thank you to everyone who helped feed the hungry. Go Tommie Pride!
