Second annual Heritage Week to be held March 5-11 St. Thomas Newsroom February 2, 2005 Second annual Heritage Week is March 5-11 The university will celebrate its second annual Heritage Week, March 5-11. Heritage Week is a celebration of the history and values of St. Thomas. This year’s theme is "If These Walls Could Talk! From Dreams to Reality." The week will begin with the annual celebration of St. Thomas Day on Saturday, March 5, and end on Friday, March 11, with the seventh annual Faculty-Staff Recognition Ceremony in the afternoon. (PLEASE NOTE: A SPECIAL LECTURE BY NOBEL PRIZE-WINNING POET RIGOBERTA MENCHU HAS BEEN POSTPONED.) Many other events also are scheduled throughout the week so be sure to watch the Bulletin for more details. Please mark your calendars. If possible, we ask that regularly scheduled meetings be suspended that week so that all members of the community can participate in the exciting and fun events that have been planned.
