Second Annual Celebration of the Green Space to Commemorate Earth Day

The community is invited to the second annual Celebration of the Green Space on Earth Day. It will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 22, in the green space behind Brady Educational Center at the corner of Goodrich Avenue and Mississippi River Boulevard.

Last year, this area was under consideration as a possible site to build outdoor tennis courts. Being one of the few natural areas left on the university's campus, students, faculty, staff and surrounding community members came together to demonstrate the value of preserving this green space. The Celebration of the Green Space event will show appreciation to the administration for considering alternative sites for the tennis courts and celebrate Earth Day.

The event is free and all are welcomed. There will be food, games and activities.
