School of Law is second in the state for graduates passing Minnesota Bar Exam

From the University of St. Thomas School of Law

The passage rates of the most recent Minnesota Bar Exam have been released. Overall, 83 percent of graduates from the University of St. Thomas School of Law who took the bar exam passed. That was second in the state behind the University of Minnesota.

The School of Law also finished second for first-time test takers. In that group, 86 percent of our graduates passed. Again, we finished second in the state behind the U of M.

While everyone shares in the credit, a special thanks goes to Scott Swanson, our director of academic achievement. Swanson worked closely with our students while they were in school and also during last summer getting them ready for the bar exam. He does a great job.

  1. University of Minnesota – 98.68 percent
  2. University of St. Thomas – 82.67 percent
  3. William Mitchell – 80.86 percent
