The St. Paul Seminary School of Divinity Chorale, directed by Dr. David Jenkins, will present its annual “Lessons and Carols for the Baptism of the Lord,” a celebration in song and word, at 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9, in St. Mary’s Chapel at the St. Paul Seminary, 2260 Summit Ave.
This service of hymns, readings and anthems is patterned on traditional “lessons and carols” rituals, and includes music by Bach, Bell, Distler, Mendelssohn, Rutter and others. Guest instrumentalists are the Stratton String Quartet; and Michelle Pombon, piano and organ.
