The Minnesota Indian Scholarship Program offers scholarships on a first-come, first-served basis to Minnesota residents of at least one-quarter American Indian ancestry (verified by documentation). Candidates must be accepted or enrolled in an accredited postsecondary institution (such as St. Thomas). Ethel Curry Scholarships are available to full-time juniors or seniors and graduate students. To qualify, you must be a Minnesota resident of at least one-quarter ancestry in the following Minnesota reservations or communities, or a combination of them:

Bois Forte, Grand Portage, Fond du Lac, Leech Lake, Mille Lacs, Red Lake, White Earth, Lower Sioux, Prairie Island, Shakopee Mdewankaton, Upper Sioux.

These scholarships are based on academic merit with a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.0.
