Scholarship programs available for American Indian students St. Thomas Newsroom March 4, 2002 The Minnesota Indian Scholarship Program offers scholarships on a first-come, first-served basis to Minnesota residents of at least one-quarter American Indian ancestry (verified by documentation). Candidates must be accepted or enrolled in an accredited postsecondary institution (such as St. Thomas). The scholarships are based on financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
