Save the date: Staff-Faculty Retreat March 14-15

From Campus Ministry

You are invited to the spring 2009 Staff-Faculty Retreat March 14 and 15 at the Gainey Center in Owatonna, Minn. The theme of the retreat is "Virtues and Vocation." Susan Stabile, School of Law, and Don Beyers, assistant director of Campus Ministry, both experienced retreat directors, will lead the sessions.

The retreat begins at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 14, and ends at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 15. Cost is $50 for a double room and $80 for a single room.

You’ve heard of the "cardinal virtues": prudence, justice, temperance and fortitude. You walk through Terrence Murphy Hall and see them portrayed in murals. But how often do you think about the meaning of the virtues? How often do you spend time contemplating their implications for your life as an individual and in community at the University of St. Thomas?

Participate in powerful reflections, prayerful solitude and nourishing conversation about the meaning of the virtues and their role in your life and work at St. Thomas.

To sign up or for more information, e-mail Campus Ministry or call Beyers, (651) 962-6562. Space is limited.
