Dr. Dick Weiland, executive director of development, will retire at the end of June after eight years of service to the University of St. Thomas.

A reception in Weiland’s honor will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, June 28, in the Fireside Room, second floor, Murray-Herrick Campus Center. Beverages and light snacks will be served.

Weiland joined the university in 1994, serving as director of major gifts for four years prior to being named executive director. He helped to conclude the university’s previous capital campaign, Century II, and has played a major role in the success of St. Thomas’ current fundraising effort.
