“RHA Tommie of the Month” has been changed to “The Motivation and Excellence in Leadership Award.” Only the name has changed, the winners of this award are still those who go the extra step to make their resident hall a fun and inviting place. They improve the hall by all their hard work, positive attitude and how they motivate others to do the same.

March winners are:

RA of the month: Liz Plevak, fourth floor, John Paul II Residence Hall
Liz is always busy planning programs and service projects for her residents. Recently she set up a team for Up Til Dawn from the girls on her floor and raised all the money on her own. Liz is a welcoming R.A. and always makes her residents feel right at home.

RHA hall council member: Jake Kulu, Ireland Residence Hall
Jake spent hours planning and organizing the Ireland Mansion Dance that took place in February. He returned from J-Term and immediately set to work getting the tickets, finding a location, ordering the menu and getting out publicity. Thanks to most of Jake’s work, the dance was a success.

House member: Erin Riordan, third floor, Murray Residence Hall
Erin is the birthday chair for her floor. Every month, she makes beautiful signs for all the birthdays. She never forgets a birthday and is always making other signs to help brighten the third floor.

Resident: Jeff Bellmont, second floor, Brady Residence Hall
Jeff is a very busy and active member of second floor Brady Hall; he always comes up with programs for the floor to participate in and help bring everyone together. He leads by example academically and by his friendliness and acceptance of everyone. He is a role model for all of Brady Hall.

Staff member: John England from John Paul II Residence Hall
John is the head of maintenance at JPII. He not only keeps the building in working order but also makes sure that it is always clean. He knows all the residents’ names and always greets them. All of JPII residents love John and are thankful for his hard work and for being a friend.
