Please remember in your prayers Robert Leonard Hoffman. He died July 29 at the age of 85. He was the father of Michael Hoffman '78, Patrick Hoffman '79, Gregory Hoffman '80, Kevin Hoffman '83, Mary Singh '84, Development staff member Marcia Howard '84, Michell Hoffman '87 and Anthony Hoffman '91. He was the grandfather of James Hoffman '09, Thomas Hoffman '10, Robert Hoffman '09, Renee Holland '11, Lauren Hoffman '13, Nate Howard '16 and Haley Howard '17. He was the father-in-law of Development staff members Colleen Hoffman and Sharyn Hoffman. He was the grandfather-in-law of Mats Holland '08.
Hoffman co-founded the Larkin Hoffman law firm in Minneapolis in 1958 and served on the board of governors of the University of St. Thomas School of Law. He graduated from Carleton College in 1952 and the University of Minnesota Law School in 1955.
Mass of Christian Burial took place at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church (901 E. 90th St., Bloomington). Visitation was for two hours prior to the Mass. A reception immediately followed the Mass at 6 p.m.
