Please Remember Ginny Sullivan in Your Prayers St. Thomas Newsroom August 13, 2014 Please remember in your prayers Ginny Sullivan, who died Tuesday, Aug. 12, after a two year battle with cancer. She was the wife of Tom Sullivan, professor emeritus of philosophy, who taught at St. Thomas for 45 years and for whom the Tom and Ginny Sullivan Scholarship philosophy essay contest is named. Ginny worked in the library’s circulation desk in the 1980’s and is remembered by many alumni for her wise and generous counsel. She was the president of the UST Women’s Auxiliary, and enjoyed countless enduring friendships from the strong and welcoming UST community. She went on to teach fifth grade for more than 30 years at Nativity of Our Lord School, touching the minds and hearts of UST alumni who sent their children there.
