The African Nations Student Association and Amnesty International will host "Refugee Awareness: What Does it Mean to be a Refugee?" on Thursday, Nov. 18. The event will feature a presentation that sheds light on who refugees are, the circumstances from which they come and the tribulations they have experienced.
Members of ANSA and Amnesty International hope to raise awareness of issues faced by refugees that are rarely discussed publicly.
The event will start 7 p.m. in the O'Shaughnessy Educational Center auditorium.
