The new name reflects re-engineered programs to provide more specialized service to the university community. Two new areas have been added to Procurement Services: Research and Development; and Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment.

  • Research and Development, managed by Associate Director Becky Ginther, primarily will be involved with researching internet purchasing opportunities and initiating development of commodity contracts.
  • Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FFE), managed by FFE Manager Jim Barron, primarily will be responsible for furniture purchases as well as fixtures and equipment for building construction and renovations.
  • Associate Director Cheryl Oulicky will manage the department’s daily operations of Purchasing and Accounts Payable.
  • Contracts will continue to be managed by Director Laura Deuberry.

New staff responsibilities will be phased in over the next month. Printed materials will be changed to reflect the name change as inventories dwindle. Enhancements to programs such as the Employee Reimbursement Program and the advent of a consolidated procurement and travel card will be announced by the start of school in the fall.
