Public Safety posts alert on armed robbery
The University of St. Thomas Department of Public Safety has issued an alert regarding an armed robbery that took place at 10:44 p.m. Saturday on Grand Avenue, between the Child Development Center and 2151 Grand Ave.
The alert said a UST student reported she was walking west on Grand Avenue when she was approached by two males. The student reported that one of the suspects put his arms around her.
The student reported the suspect told her, “Calm down. Come with me so I don’t have to shoot you.” The student said she saw the suspect holding a small black handgun to her left side. The student screamed, dropped her purse, and ran away.
