Susan Price, O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center, was the featured guest on MPR's Midmorning Program May 16. Host Katherine Lanpher interviewed price about her new book, Growing Home, stories of ethnic gardening.

Dr. Paul Schons, Modern and Classical Languages Department, and Dr. Rawlie Sullivan, Marketing Department, presented a paper, "The Strategic Use of Technology in the University Business Classroom," at the annual conference of the National Association of Small Business International Trade Educators May 2 in Boston. The paper was published in NASBITE Conference Proceedings.

Dr. Thomas Sturm, Quantitative Methods and Computer Science Department, hosted the May meeting of the St. Paul Radio Club at St. Thomas. He gave a presentation, "Comparison of Logging Software," in which he demonstrated online eight different packages. He also gave a demonstration of the computer-controlled model railroad he uses to teach students digital electronics, microcomputer interfacing, artificial intelligence and robotics.
