Professional Notes St. Thomas Newsroom May 4, 2004 Kevin Knutson, an undergraduate student majoring in business and economics, presented a paper he co-authored with Dr. Lorman Lundsten and Dr. Dave Brennan, Marketing Department, at the annual Minnesota Academy of Science meeting April 24 in St. Joseph. Title of the paper was "A Strategy for Coping With Suppressed Values in Retail Census Data."Dr. Thomas Dillon Redshaw, Center for Irish Studies, is the editor of Well Dreams: Essays on John Montague (Creighton University Press). In the works since early 1998, this collection of 21 critical essays by American, Italian, English and Irish scholars surveys the accomplishments of the Irish poet John Montague. The book opens with an overview of Montague’s evolving critical reputation and closes with an annotated checklist of Montague’s publications. Well Dreams was launched April 19 at Creighton in commemoration of Montague’s 75th birthday.Redshaw also was editor of Paulette Myers-Rich’s fine press edition of Glenmacnass (2003), by Irish poet Thomas Kinsella. The book was nominated for the Fine Press Award at the 16th annual Minnesota Book Awards. Myers-Rich’s previous Traffic Street Press edition of Irish poet Evan Boland’s Emigrant Letters (2002) was nominated for the same award in 2003. Six of these fine press editions have been designed and printed by Myers-Rich and published to commemorate the art of the Irish book. The project is supported by the Center for Irish Studies and the O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center’s Department of Special Collections, curated by Ann Kenne.Brad Reich, Legal Studies in Business Department, has accepted an offer to publish his latest article, "Show Me the Truth, Show Me the Proof, and Show Me the Money! An Examination of the ABA’s ‘Mediator Credentialing and Quality Assurance’ Proposal," in the Rutgers Conflict Resolution Law Journal. The article empirically examines the variables proposed by the American Bar Association in its program to foster "quality mediation."Dr. John Wendt, College of Business, is the author of a peer-reviewed article, "The New World Anti-Doping Agency and World Anti-Doping Code," in the Midwest Law Review.
