Please remember in your prayers University of St. Thomas student Eric Kaplan. He died in a car accident early Thursday morning, June 30, south of Owatonna.
Eric, 21, of Blooming Prairie, was a junior and was majoring in mechanical engineering.
According to the Owatonna People’s Press, the cause of the accident was unknown (as of July 1) and is being investigated. Eric was driving home from work when his car collided head-on with another vehicle.
Eric is survived by his parents, Barbara and Gerald Kaplan of Blooming Prairie, and two sisters, Mandy of Burnsville and Nicole of Blooming Prairie.
Funeral services were held July 3 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Litomysl, which is located near Blooming Prairie.
