Please remember in your prayers Spc. James Wertish, of Olivia, Minn., who was one of three soldiers from Minnesota killed July 16 in Basra, Iraq. Wertish is the brother of Carolyn Wertish '09, 2nd Lt., U.S.A.F.

Memorials are preferred to the Spc. James Wertish Fund at the Minnwest Bank, 200 Oak St., Danube, MN 56230.Funeral services were held Monday, July 27. Also killed on July 16 were Spc. Dan Drevnick, of Woodbury, and Spc. Carlos Wilcox, of Cottage Grove, all members of the Stillwater-based 34th Military Police Company, part of the 34th Infantry Division known as the Red Bulls.
