The Physical Plant today implemented Facility Wizard, a new software application designed to improve and enhance its service-request process. This Web-browser-based tool provides a new “front-end” look-and-feel to the service request process with the Physical Plant as well as additional customer service to users.

The process for submitting Web-requested work orders remains the same. On the University of St. Thomas home Web page under the “Tools” horizontal menu is “Request for Services.” Physical Plant is one of the options.  By selecting Standard Work Order Request, users will be directed to the new Facility Wizard login screen. Here users will identify themselves by logging in with their UST NetID and password. 

Once you are in the Web work order screen, you can request a work order.  This screen is very similar to the previous product’s screen and collects the same information.  Once you submit your request, you will see a confirmation message at the top of your request.

Requesters who submit through the Web can check the status of their work orders at any time by going back into the Physical Plant Request for Service Standard Work Order Request screen. When you log in, you will have the options of reviewing your work orders as well as submitting a new work order.
