Personal Counseling offers two student-help groups

The Personal Counseling and Testing Center is offering two student groups that will begin during November. Meeting with other people to share common concerns is a great way to gain support and learn new coping strategies when feeling stressed, lonely, burned out or confused.

Interested students are encouraged to sign up for a brief intake interview by calling (651) 962-6780 or by visiting Personal Counseling in Room 356, Murray-Herrick Campus Center.

Interpersonal Process Group
Students who are interested in learning how to enhance their relationships will benefit from this group. Members will be able to explore their interpersonal interactions and learn additional relationship-building skills. The group is confidential and will meet from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesdays in Room 370, Murray-Herrick Campus Center. For additional information, contact Debra Broderick, (651) 962-6780, or Joni Downs, (651) 962-6788.

Perfectionism Group
This group is offered for students who are finding it hard to live up to their expectations, feeling busy and overstretched, or who are struggling with procrastination. The goal of the group is to learn how to manage perfectionism and begin to find balance. Meetings will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesdays in Room 370, Murray-Herrick Campus Center. For additional information, contact Kathy Scholljegerdes, (651) 962-6772, or Sarah Armstrong, (651) 962-6780.
