Participate in popular 24-hour play festival Friday, Saturday

Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, the UST/CSC Theater Club presents one of its most popular events: the third semiannual 24-hour play festival.

All participants will gather at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, at Foley Theater, where they will be separated into groups of actors, writers and directors and given a script. Starting at 9 p.m., the writers have until 6 a.m. Saturday morning to write an eight- to 10-minute play with a set number of characters and one line that they have to incorporate in the script.

Then, at 7:30 a.m. Saturday morning, everyone once again will gather in Foley Theater. Each play will be assigned a director and it will be cast. The teams will have all day to rehearse and then will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday night.

This event has been done twice in the past and has been very successful, so the Theater Club looks forward to your participation – audience members are needed, too!

If you cannot make it Friday night but want to be involved, e-mail Steven Broszko, president of the Theater Club, and let him know what you'd like to do; then, just show up Saturday.
