Public Safety Offers Football Tips … for Parking

The St. Thomas Public Safety office encourages Tommie football fans attending Saturday’s game to park in the Anderson Parking Facility on the university’s south campus. Parking in the ramp, located at the intersection of Grand and Cretin avenues, will be free.

In addition:

  • Lot M on the south campus will be closed from 2 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
  • Students with resident permits for Morrison Ramp will be permitted to exit and enter the ramp during the game.
  • Parking will not be allowed from 7 a.m. until after the game on Cretin Avenue from Mississippi River Boulevard to Selby Avenue.

Many of the streets surrounding the campus require a residential permit. Those parking in violation of this restricted parking are subject to having their vehicles tagged or towed by the city of St. Paul. Because of this and out of general respect for the university’s neighbors, Public Safety asks all Tommie football fans to park on the south campus.

Note: Parking is not allowed in surface lots from 2 to 5 a.m. on weekends except in Lot A.
