Effective tomorrow, Friday, May 7, the city of Minneapolis will implement new evening and weekend parking rates for the following locations:
- The new evening rate for the 11th Street and Harmon Place Ramp will be $4 after 4 p.m.
- The new weekend rate for the 11th Street and Harmon Place Ramp will be $5 for the entire day. (This validation also will cover event parking at this location.)
- The new evening rate for the Hennepin Avenue and 10th Street Ramp will be $5 after 4 p.m.
New parking validations reflecting the new rates at both locations will be available to Public Safety in Minneapolis soon.
"We are asking during this time of transition that you do not return to Public Safety a large number of unused validations reflecting the old values," said Randy Buchman, Department of Public Safety. "New validations will be available to departments and individual buyers in small numbers to assist in the changeover. Orders also will be taken for future exchanges and events once the first shipment has arrived."
