Dr. David Ruch, associate professor of mathematics at Metropolitan State College of Denver, will give a talk, “A Potpourri of Calculus Projects,” at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, in Room 225, O’Shaughnessy Science Hall.

Ruch’s talk is the university’s next Mathematics Colloquium. Refreshments will be available at 3:45 p.m.

Ruch, who has a Ph.D. from New Mexico State University, will discuss several calculus labs he has written using various platforms over the past few years. He is the co-author of a calculus lab manual, has been funded twice by the National Science Foundation for his work in the use of technology in calculus, and also is interested in wavelets and functional analysis.
