"The Love of the Nightingale" is a modern, original, serious drama by Timberlake Wertenbaker, combining elements of Greek myth, history and classical Greek drama. This play is a contemporary retelling of the ancient myth of Procne and Philomel, as dramatized by a playwright who has received high praise for her poetic treatment of social issues. Wertenbaker emphasizes themes of sisterhood, sexual politics, violence, and healing. The production runs through Oct. 19. For reservations, call (651) 690-6700.
