NBMBAA Golf Classic supports Leaders of Tomorrow

The National Black MBA Association - Twin Cities Chapter hosted its second annual "Leaders of Tomorrow Golf Classic" this week at Braemar Golf Course in Edina. The event brought together professionals from around the Twin Cities to "benefit the Leaders of Tomorrow programs and Omega Psi Phi's Heritage Park students to continue building a robust talent pipeline of multicultural business professionals and leaders."

UST put forth a foursome including staff from the MBA Admissions and Career Services offices as well as Alumni Relations and the Center for Business Excellence. Though we didn't take home first prize--our score was just 13 over par in the scramble--it was great to network and connect with others from a wide variety of Minnesota businesses, including Allianz, United Health Group, and Ing.

After the round, a handful of students in Leaders of Tomorrow spoke about their experiences and the value they have gained from the program. These high school students have had the chance to participate in case competitions, hear from a variety of successful entrepreneurs and corporate businesspeople, and learn about business from the inside--and the ground up--by visiting a Land O' Lakes farm and co-op. Maybe we'll be seeing them in the MBA class of 2020!
