I am pleased to announce that effective immediately, Jean Haley, associate vice president for information technology and director of libraries, will assume the position of interim vice president for information resources and technology.

This new position has been created as a direct result of the work and recommendations of the Technology: Organizational Structure Study Group. You may view recommendations here.

I have contracted with the Educational Management Network/Witt/Keiffer, a search firm, to conduct a national search for this position. This firm worked with St. Thomas recently on its search for the vice president for finance and administration, and currently is conducting the search for the dean of the College of Business.

I anticipate beginning this search soon and hope to hire the vice president for information resources and technology before the end of this academic year. A university search committee will be formed to assist with this process.
