Monsignor James Lavin has moved temporarily to the HealthEast Care Center St. Thomas Newsroom September 2, 2003 Monsignor James Lavin has moved temporarily to the HealthEast Care Center Monsignor James Lavin, special assistant to the president and a member of the Alumni Association staff, has moved temporarily to the HealthEast Care Center at 512 Humboldt Ave. on the West Side of St. Paul.Lavin was injured in a traffic accident on July 12 near St. Cloud. After recovering from those injuries in his Faculty Residence apartment on the St. Paul campus, he was hospitalized for pneumonia. Earlier this week, he was hospitalized for heart-related issues.He is resting comfortably at HealthEast Care Center and likely will be moved to a nursing home this week.Cards can be sent to Lavin at Mail No. 4389 or LOR508 at St. Thomas, and will be delivered to him by the alumni staff.
