To be considered for Minnesota State Grant funds for spring semester, the U.S. Department of Education must receive your 2009-10 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on or before Tuesday, March 2. If your FAFSA is received after this date, you will not be eligible to receive a state grant for spring term, but may receive state grant funds for summer session (if enrolled).
If you intend to file the FAFSA for this academic year, submit it immediately to receive consideration for state grant funding and federal student aid. You may file the FAFSA online after securing a Department of Education Personal Identification Number (PIN) for yourself and your parents (if applicable).
