Last week my colleague Clark Gregor and I attended the Minnesota American Marketing Association (AMA) Marketing Mixer at Elsie’s in Northeast Minneapolis. Although there was no bowling involved, we enjoyed meeting a wide variety of marketing professionals from across the Twin Cities. The UST Full-time and Evening MBA programs are sponsoring the Minnesota AMA’s marketing socials this year, and we hope to see some of our blog readers at future events!
This month’s mixer theme was “speed networking”—each person had the opportunity to chat for 5 minutes with another marketing professional before moving on to the next table to network with another person. There was so much energy in the room, and everyone left with a handful of business cards and several new contacts. Events like these are great for anyone working in marketing or hoping to enter this field.
