Mark your calendar for March Through the Arches on Sept. 5
Please join us on Tuesday, Sept. 5, as we welcome our newest students to the University of St. Thomas community. For the past several years, we have marked this occasion with the March Through the Arches. New first-year students, transfer students and international students gather on the Summit Avenue side of the arches and, after a welcome from Father Dease, walk through the arches and into Schoenecker Arena for the New Student Convocation.
Here’s your chance to get involved! As the students walk to the arena, they are applauded by faculty, staff and students. This is the reason that some people call this event the “quad applaud.” New students are being asked to gather at 9:15 a.m. Faculty, staff and current students are asked to gather on the lower quad at 9:25 a.m. The procession will begin at 9:30 a.m. following Father Dease’s remarks.
