The University of St. Thomas Family Weekend 2009 will be held from Friday to Sunday, Oct. 2-4. Invitations were sent to the parents of all new and continuing undergraduate students, and reminder postcards will be sent to student on-campus mailboxes.
A variety of activities are planned – most of them free – for students and their families.
Some favorite traditions include Mass and brunch, the 2K Fun Run/Walk, a diverse slate of faculty lectures, the Parent Network Brat & Chili Fest, the Fall Art Tour, the Tonic Sol Fa concert, and the Multicultural Family Reception. This year also will feature a lecture sponsored by the University Lectures Committee with Jerry Greenfield, a founder of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream; varsity soccer and football games; a family discussion on careers; and an International Game Night in Scooter's.
