The following databases, and all other UST research databases, are accessible via the UST Libraries website.
New database in mathematics
MathSciNet, produced by the American Mathematical Society, provides access to Mathematical Reviews and Current Mathematical Publications. MathSciNet includes citations and review texts from 1940 to the present; it is updated daily. Current Mathematical Publications provides subject, author and title access to recent and forthcoming books, articles, conference proceedings, etc.; a citation moves from Current Mathematical Publications to Mathematical Reviews once it is reviewed.
Recent enhancements to the database include:
- Improved display of mathematics using MathJax, an open source JavaScript display engine for mathematics that works in all modern browsers.
- Direct links to books, book chapters and series.
- Bibliographic entries and direct links for Ph.D. theses in mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics.
IEEE Computer Society Digital Library
Over the summer UST Libraries increased the amount of full-text content in IEEE Digital Library from five to 20 full-text titles. Published by the IEEE Computer Society, the world’s leading organization of computer professionals, the IEEE Computer Society Digital Library provides articles on the history of computing, security issues, wireless technology, artificial intelligence and software development. The database allows users the flexibility to browse topics or search with specific keywords in one, a few, or all 20 titles simultaneously.
