Library today: Borrow a Kindle! St. Thomas Newsroom March 4, 2010 O’Shaughnessy-Frey and Ireland libraries now have Amazon Kindle eBook readers available for checkout. Five Kindles will be available for checkout during spring semester 2010, with four located at O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library and one at Ireland Library. Each Kindle comes with a carrying case and necessary accessories. Kindle is a handheld, wireless technology developed by Amazon for rendering and displaying eBooks and other digital media downloadable from Amazon or accessible from a wireless internet connection.
