O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center celebrates 50th Anniversary

The O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center will celebrate its 50th Anniversary tomorrow with a Noon Conversation about books with Donna Nix.

A reference and curriculum librarian, Nix manages the Children's Literature and Curriculum collections at the Keffer Library on the Minneapolis campus. She has experience as a classroom teacher, school librarian, consultant for school libraries, and she has been a longtime reader of kids' books.

In a modified version of her presentation from the 2009 Hubbs Children's Literature Conference in February, Nix will discuss award-winning children's and young adult books for 2009.

The presentation will be given at noon Tuesday, March 31, in the O'Shaughnessy Room, O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center. The event is open to the UST community. Bring lunch; beverages and light dessert will be provided.
