Just Have to Dance? UST Dance Club wants you!

The UST Dance Club is looking for passionate and dedicated young women who love to dance to be a part of the club for the upcoming 2011-2012 school year. The UST Dance Club's mission is to provide dancers with an outlet for their talent, while improving the community both inside and outside the University of St. Thomas campus; and also to promote health, wellness and a positive body image for young women through the celebration and diversity of dance.

Throughout the year, the UST Dance Club performs in several shows and at least one competition. Practices take place Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30-9:30 a.m. For those wanting to participate, especially freshman with upcoming registration, it is encouraged to avoid scheduling yourself for a Tuesday, Thursday 8 a.m. class.

Tryouts will be held in September and February to determine placement of dancers onto a team that best fits their dance styles and to foster the best possible team chemistry and performances. Everyone who tries out will make it into the club. In the past, a wide range of experience levels has been represented with some girls in the club dancing for at least 15 years and others having no formal dance training at all.

Become a part of the UST Dance Club and share your love and passion for the beautiful art of dance and form bonds that last throughout college and well afterwards.
