Jewish-Christian dialogue to examine 'Theologies of Aging' Nov. 13
A rabbi from the St. Paul Seminary School of Divinity and a professor at Luther Seminary together will lead a discussion on the "Theologies of Aging" from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, in Northwestern Hall at Luther Seminary, 1501 Fulham Ave., St. Paul.

The program, free and open to the public, is co-sponsored by Luther Seminary and the Jay Phillips Center for Jewish-Christian Learning of St. John’s University and the University of St. Thomas.
The speakers, Rabbi Amy Eilberg and Dr. Janet Ramsey, will explore how Jews and Christians deepen their understanding of life as they provide care to those who are old, those who are dying, and their loved ones.
The program will be of interest to those who care for elderly persons, including parish nurses, clergy, chaplains, pastors and family members. There will be time after the presentations for discussion.
Dr. Janet Ramsey
Eilberg directs dialogue programs at the Jay Phillips Center. The first woman ordained as a Conservative rabbi, she was a co-founder of the Bay Area Jewish Healing Center, where she directed that center's Jewish Hospice Care Program. A leader of the Jewish healing movement, she lectures and writes on issues of Jewish spirituality, healing and spiritual direction.
Ramsey is an associate professor of congregational care leadership at Luther Seminary. She has served as a nursing home chaplain and administrator, pastor, pastoral counselor and gerontology researcher. Ramsey is a board-certified counselor with a specialty in geriatrics and is a licensed marriage and family therapist.
